Anyone responsible for maintaining stores, restaurants or any type of physical locations (or even those whose functions are tied to the conditions of these locations) are typically stretched in a myriad of directions and don’t have much free time.
Given those constraints, we’re often asked, by both newcomers to the field as well as experienced facilities and operations professionals, what topics and areas are ones they should be paying attention to that they might otherwise might not be?
While we cover a range of subject areas in our blog during the course of the year, we believe that those posts that get the most readership are a good indicator of the topics of interest to your peers.
So, to give you a sense of what you might want to catch up on as well as see what you might have missed, here’re a number of the posts that got the most attention this year, as well as a few more recent popular ones that are already seeing a lot of viewership.

Most fields have a wealth of acronyms that can often be confusing. Our most popular post this year drills into the difference between two commonly used ones in the facilities sector. Both CAFM (computer-aided facility management) software and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) software are both specialized technologies used for management purposes.
